The Chuunin Exams
This here is the chuunin exam guide where I will tell you how you can advance through the chuunin exams. To advance as a chuunin ninja, you need to meet the requirements for advancement along with pass the exams.
You need to meet the following requirements to enter the Chuunin exams:
Missions:
D: 14
C: 5
B: 0
A: 0
S: 0
Now, this is just the minimum mission requirements to enter the exams, but the main factor is convincing your sensei to let you participate in them. If your sensei believes you are ready to enter the exams, you will be recommended to your Kage (list found in 'Who's Who') and he/she will decide to your entering. You will most likely be accepted by the Kage unless he/she has a legible reason to reject your request.
Once you have been accepted into the exam, you must wait for it to come around (occurs once every two weeks) and register down your team in room 301 in the Examination quarters on the edge of Konoha. Like in the show you have a strict time limit of time to register, for you and your team have to announce your participation within the first 24hrs of your notification of acceptance.
After you have registered, you will enter the first exam. The test.
Now the test is a series of ten questions, one being held back until the last fifteen minutes of the test. The questions are difficult, but the main test is to test your ability to cheat. There will be 42 eagle-eyed sentinels positioned around the room, so cheating will be difficult. In your posts you must make it look hard to guess you're cheating.
Now, if you write "looks at person beside me's work and copies down answers", you will obviously get a strike. But if you write something along the lines of "I disguise my puppet, Kurokarasu as a sentinels as he records the answers he finds from around the room on his sheet of paper and clipboard. His disguise is very believable to the human eye." then you will most likely avoid the sentinels. Be warned, if you do copy that technique, you will get a strike because it is well known. Your examiner will constantly count the number of sentinels around the room to make sure no one has been added to the pack.
If you pass the first exam, it is quite obvious what comes next. Yes, the second exam in the forest of death. Because the first exam will be aloud two reality days to continue, the second exam will get it's time of five reality day, just like the exam's actual length. The test is meant to be just an hour, but being an RPG forum, that's much too fast.
Now, the second exam is held in the 44th Battle Training Ground, or the forest of death. Around the forest there is a large fence and every few 100m there is a gate. All around there are 44 gates and in the center of the forest is a large tower.
The goal for the second exam is not only to reach the tower in the center, which is a full day's run on it's own if not including the obstacles, it is to gain both assigned scrolls, of which you are only given one before you leave off to find an available gate.
Because of the fact only 44 gates surround the chuunin exam, that means that only 44 teams max at a time can enter the exam. Also, 2 teams at minimum can enter the exam.
Now the scrolls are heaven and earth, and you don't know which one you'll get until you are given one.
In the forest, you will not only encounter other ninja after your heaven/earth scroll, you will encounter killer plants, giant leaches, giant snakes, giant bugs in general, traps etc.
Near the center, about an hour north of the tower, you can find a small river than runs through the forest, where is enters the forest near gate 23 and exits near gate 7. The river has many fish in it, so if you find the river, you'll have no problem with food.
In the forest you will come across the occasional clearing, but mainly it's just weaves and waves of very large and tall trees. My advice is don't let down your guard, because natural and ninja foe alike can come and kill you when you sleep.
The test will last five days and who ever manages to get both scrolls and get to the tower before this time limit is up, graduates into the preliminaries (if 21 candidates or more complete the forest) or the main battles if less that 21 make it through, and that's counting individual people. Basically 7 or more teams mean prelim. less that 7 means no prelim.
In the battles, it will take me a day at the most to sort the graduates into pairs for the fighting and if an odd number like 21, one will get to sit out for a round if no prelim. or just go straight to the non-prelim. battles. This person is an idiot not to consider themselves lucky.
Now the battles are until one opponent is unable to fight, if prelims are enlisted, it will take two days out of the chuunin exam time and the battles can go on all at once. if no prelims, then that's more time for the main battles. Now each main battle is to last a day and it is highly recommended that they coexist with one another AKA going on at the same time because the chuunin exam is given two weeks to be completed and restarted. The following example is if 15 contestants make the third exam. '1' is the contestant number, '+' is the pairing and the number after '=' is the winner.
1st Round:
1 + 2 = 1
3 + 4 = 4
5 + 6 = 5
7 + 8 = 8
9 + 10 = 10
11 + 12 = 11
13 + 14 = 14
15
2nd Round:
1 + 4 = 4
5 + 8 = 5
10 + 11 = 11
14 + 15 = 14
Semi-Final Round:
4 + 5 = 5
11 + 14 = 11
Final Round:
5 + 11 = 5
5 Wins the tournament.
The winner of the tournament isn't automatically granted chuunin, as it may seem, but actually the 2-5 Kage judging will decide who graduates and who doesn't. There are times when everyone will graduate from the third exam into chuunin and there are times where no one does, though this isn't usually the case.
If you are curious, after you enter the first exam, you will not see your sensei again, unless he/she is a Kage, until after the exams. The prelims + main third exam can take up to one week tops, for there is needed one day for me to reset the Chuunin examinations category and move the all the previous exam topics/posts into the 'Previous Chuunin Exams' category, which is locked giving you the inability to post there. |
